ABOUT
Matthew Chastney is a British composer and producer creating soundtracks for film, games, trailers, and releasing music as ‘The Dreamless Sleep’. A unique collision of emotive string quartet & piano writing, atmospheric electronic production and innovative sound design forms a style inspired by indie classical, ambient and contemporary electronic music.
In 2023 the score for the video game “Tin Hearts” was released to critical acclaim. Other soundtrack credits include trailers for ‘JOKER’, ‘Chernobyl’, ‘Bridgerton’, and original scores for ‘Black Fish’ and ‘Through a Screen Darkly’; two short films that were featured as part of the BBC New Creatives programme.
